1. FASHION ILLUSTRATION (part 2)
As an extension from the basic course, the second half of fashion Illustration is taken here.
2. GARMENT CONSTRUCTION
Under this, the various topics are covered. At this level, students are several steps ahead of the beginners course. Here, their confidence level is greatly improved. They are taught the following but not limited to it.
I) How to draft and sew the princess dart bustier Blouse, which includes armhole and the classic style line.
II) Drafting and constructing the peplum blouse (360° and 720°)
III) Drafting and constructing panel skirt ( 6pieces and 8 pieces)
IV) Drafting, cutting and constructing a Shawl collar jacket.
V) Construction of exaggerated sleeves
VI) Creating designs, use of trims and notions, other accessories for garment Embellishments
VII) How to cut and sew the traditional blouse using the principle of the classic style line.
VIII) Drafting and constructing the off-shouder blouse.
IX) Drafting, cutting and sewing the wrap blouse / dress
X) Drafting and constructing the trousers /pant patterns and its variations (narrow hem, palazzo, flared and straight patterns)
XI) Drafting and sewing kaftan dresses
XII ) Drafting, sewing and constructing the tier/carribean skirt
XIII) Shirt draft and construction which includes; collar, placket, button stand etc.
3. STYLE INTERPRETATION
Here, style consultation, style and color analysis, shape recommendations, style preferences, work environment are vastly taught at fashion academy.
Here decorative details on garments are indepthly taught, areas of purchase, it’s application, use and over-use.
5. MARKET SURVEY
6 PRODUCT DESIGN
This describes the process of imagining, creating, and iterating products that solve users’ problems or address specific needs in a given market. The key to successful product design is an understanding of the end-user customer, the person for whom the product is being created.
An expository lecture on product design is established an the intermediate level at Lamirah fashion academy.
7. PROJECT WORK.
At the end of our training at the intermediate level, students are to embark on a product that tries to encapsulate what have been taught.
The intermediate level runs for 6 weeks, 3 times a week, 4 hours each class
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am – 2pm
