1. FASHION BRANDING :
Branding is personalizing a product to ensure a balance between different economic values. In the fashion industry branding has become the dominant competitive strategy for all successful companies.
The aim of branding is to make a link between the character of an object and its branded image or form.
A brand’s value is the way people end up thinking and feeling about the product to which it is linked. A better understanding of the brand role starts from the right definition of brand and branding. The brand is a name, terms, logo, or design (or a combination of them) that aims at identifying a product or a service from one vendor or manufacturer and differentiate it from competitors.
Branding for many years has been seen as logos and advertisements. But a brand is much more than a name or a logo. A brand is no longer just image projection. Brand strategists declare that brands recall clear relations in a consumer’s mind. They talk about brand personality and a long term relationship with the consumer centered on emotional feelings more than on economic transactions.
Here, we provide that unique link between the student and the fashion business in sight or business that’s already running.
2. THE BUSINESS OF FASHION
As evolving fashion enthusiasts and entrepreneurs, there are a lot of factors involved in setting up and sustaining a fashion business.
At Lamirah fashion academy, a business plan is written which serves as a road map that inform us on what is obtainable in the planned business and the format of business plan.
Typically, a business plan is a document that will detail how a company will achieve its goals.
Before you graduate, you already have a hard copy of your business plan.
3. FASHION SKETCHING
Here, students are armed with the skill of both manual and digital illustration.
4. ADVANCED /DIPLOMA GARMENT CONSTRUCTION
Here, complex sewing techniques are made simplified for the students which includes but not limited to:
construction and application of Cones on garments, Clouding and cascading effects, ruffles, panel blouse and dress, godet construction and attachment, building and flounce placement, Notched collar jacket draft, etc.
5. READY-TO-WEAR BREAKDOWN
Analysis is done how to go about this and be successful.
Ready-to-wear or prêt-à-porter is the term for factory-made clothing, sold in finished condition, in standardized sizes, as distinct from made to measure or bespoke clothing tailored to a particular person’s frame.
6. BUSTIER /CORSET WEARS
An in depth look into the various types of corsets and their various construction
7. WEDDING/ BRIDAL DRESSES
Everything bridal wears is dissected for the students. A project is carried out by the student to ensure clarity.
10. DIGITAL MARKETING
Digital marketing is the use of the Internet to reach consumers. Digital marketing is a broad field, including attracting customers via email, content marketing, search platforms, social media, and more.
Businesses have moved from the brick and mortal systems to online.
We teach our students this aspect how to evolve using online platforms.
11. PROJECT DEFENSE :
Two projects are required of the students to produce at the end of training at the advanced level. It must carry at least four (4) sewing techniques.
